At Castle Dairies, we have been crafting our premium butters and spreadable butters since 1966, at our family run dairy, here in Caerphilly, South Wales. We use only 100% British Cream and 100% natural ingredients sourced from the UK and many of our products proudly carry Great Taste Awards – a testament to our commitment to quality and making great tasting butters. Castle Dairies is a family run business and if there’s one thing that the Lloyd family understands, it’s cream. John Emyr Lloyd churned cream for over 50 years – at 14, his first job was on a dairy farm and this sparked his curiosity with cream and dairies. He joined Castle Dairies, Caerphilly, in his 20’s and worked in various roles mastering every aspect of the process. John bought Castle Dairies in 1986.
The cream and butter obsession doesn’t end there. Having learnt his trade in New Zealand and Australia, John’s son, Nigel has now brought all his experience to the family business too, expanding to include state of the art churning equipment and adding innovative new lines into the portfolio – It’s little wonder Castle Dairies produces only the finest range of British butters.
